Accessing PressReader
For mobile devices including tablets, smartphones and Kindle Fires:

  • Download the free PressReader app from your app store (links below)
  • Android - PressReader
  • Apple - PressReader
  • In the app, select Sign in.
  • Select the blue Libraries and Groups icon.
  • Tap on Select Library or Group, type West Sussex in the search box, then select West Sussex Libraries.
  • Enter your library card number and PIN. If you do not know your PIN you can reset your PIN online or ask at your local library.
  • If a New User prompt box appears, you can create a username and password, or if you don't want to do this, select Cancel to bypass this step.
  • If your library card number has expired, to use PressReader you will need to join the library again. You can join online or at your local library.

For Laptops, PCs and Macs

  • On theĀ PressReader website, select Sign In.
  • Select the library or group option.
  • Enter West Sussex in the search box to select your library authority.
  • Enter your library card number.

Please note:

  • A pop up will confirm that you can read newspapers online or download them to read offline free of charge for 30 days on your device.
  • At the end of the 30 days, simply sign out and back in again with your library card number to reactivate your free access for a further 30 days. Reactivate as many times as you wish! This applies to both laptop and smart device access.
