National Year of Reading
This year we're aiming to inspire our community to reconnect with reading.
Why is there a National Year of Reading?

This year is the National Year of Reading Campaign called Go All In. The campaign has been designed to inspire more people to make reading a regular part of their lives. Its aim is to reconnect with reading through the things that inspire us, such as hobbies and pastimes.

The year is being funded by the Department for Education alongside the Literacy Trust to engage with children and adults across the country who are not reading regularly.

What will West Sussex Libraries be doing?

As a library service we'll be showcasing what reading activities we already offer for all our communities, as well as exploring new opportunities.

We've got lots of exciting activities coming up in 2026, so keep your reading glasses ready for more updates to come!
What can I do to get involved?
